Robert Stanley Clark, 90

December 2, 1931 – August 27, 2022

On Saturday August 27, 2022, beloved husband, father, and grandfather Robert Stanley Clark passed away at the age of 90, surrounded by family in Sebastian, FL. Bob was born in Pearl River, NY on December 2, 1931 to Frank Clark and Helen (Merritt) Clark. Bob would fondly recall playing basketball, football, and baseball through his high school years. Shortly after, his love of his country drew him to join the US Navy and he served in the Korean War. Then on December 14, 1952, he married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Carolyn Fink.

When Bob returned from the service, he and Dot lovingly raised their three children and nurtured more pets than they could count in a home Bob built himself in Pearl River. Welcoming and playful, Bob ensured their door was always open, and the Clark house is often remembered as a “second home” for their children’s friends. A dedicated father, especially when the outdoors or athletics were involved, Bob loved to fish with his son in Saranac Lake, NY and sponsored and coached his daughters’ softball teams. Bob was also a Master Mason and owned his own business Monarch Roofing, serving the Rockland County, NY community for over 35 years.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife Dorothy; his loving children Michelle Bucci and son-in-law Anthony Bucci, Vicki Dolan, Mitchell Clark and daughter-in-law Deborah (Kass) Clark; his four adoring granddaughters Brittany Griffin, Brianna Dolan, Jessica Dolan, and Nicole Clark; and his grandpuppy Chase, who will all deeply miss his songs and easy humor. He is predeceased by his parents, his sisters Gloria “Glo” Liebert and Elizabeth “Betty” Bouton, and his brothers Frank “Spike” Clark and George “Ed” Bouton.

“When the sun shines on the mountain / And the night is on the run / It’s a new day / It’s a new way / And I fly up to the sun.”

Please join us to celebrate Bob’s life on Monday, September 12th, 2022 from 11AM to 1PM at Seawinds Funeral Home (735 S Fleming St, Sebastian, FL 32958).
