Veterans Council of Indian River County hosts Third Annual Clay Shoot

(VERO BEACH, FL) The Veterans Council of Indian River County announces their third annual clay shoot on September 24, 2022 at Vero Beach Clay Shooting Sports located at 5925 82nd Avenue in Vero Beach.

Early Bird Registration is $125 per person or $500 per foursome, registration increases to $150 per person or $600 per foursome after September 1st.  The clay shoot event starts at 8:00 a.m. with a safety briefing. Participants will enjoy breakfast, 110 sporting clays, trappers at each of the 17 shooting stations, lunch by Wild Thyme Catering, golf cart, event t-shirt, awards and loads of fun.  Participants must provide their own guns, shells, eye and ear safety equipment. Shells are available for purchase and guns are available for rent at the range on a first come first served basis.

Proceeds from the second annual clay shoot totaled more than $40,000 in support of veterans’ programs which provide direct aid for veterans and veteran families in need. “This year we hope to raise more of the critical funding necessary to support our veterans in need.” said Veterans Council Executive Director Cynthia Ryan.  “With cost-of-living increases, our veterans, especially those living on a fixed income, are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet”

In addition to participating in the clay shoot, sponsoring the event is an excellent way to show the community your support for our military veterans. Sponsors receive clay shoot registrations, logo placement, website and social media recognition, and more.  This year’s clay shoot is being presented by an anonymous donor in honor of Dogs for Life.  Additional sponsors include Dyer Auto Group, Mr. Andrew Paul, Ferris Dentistry, 21st Amendment Distillery, Bill Bryant & Associates, Inc., the Brackett Family Foundation, the Indian River Chapter of Military Officer Association of America, Walking Tree Brewery, WWII Tribute, and Zudans Eye.
