Welcome to our Sapphire Anniversary “Season 65” at the Vero Beach Theatre Guild

Welcome to Vero Beach Theatre Guild’s 65th Season, our Sapphire Anniversary Celebration of providing quality entertainment for the Treasure Coast and the Vero Beach Community.

As our new year has already started, I would like to introduce you all to the Board of Directors for 2022-2023. I, Lisa McNamee, am honored to be continuing as President with Michael Naffziger as the Vice President. Many of you know “Naff” from the Indian River Charter High School as well as the many shows that he has directed at the VBTG. Our continuing Treasurer, Ted Miller, from Grand Harbor, continues to keep us on track with our ever-changing financial needs and reminds us all to follow our budget guidelines that enable us to keep our doors open. Jerry Reichert, also from Grand Harbor and an actor at VBTG serves as our Secretary and HR person so that none of us ever forgets the employee needs and guidelines of running the theatre with effective personnel. Other members of the board are; Beth Shestak, wearing a variety of hats at the Theatre from acting and directing to being a choreographer for many of our musical shows. (If you haven’t seen Footloose yet, you are missing out. She was not only the director but the choreographer of our amazing Opening Show of the Season at VBTG.), Barbara Sykes, serving the board and our community as the Casting Coordinator. But she doesn’t stop there, you may see her around town as she is also our Networking Coordinator and a great one at that., our last member of the board but not at all the least is Phil Markley, Phil is an actor at our theatre. You may remember seeing him with Barbara Sykes and Jerry Reichert in Calendar Girls from our 64th Season.

There also will be several Apron Series plays in our new Studio Theatre: Art, Love, Loss and What I Wore, Lifespan of a Fact, and finally Equus.

We are all excited about this fantastic season to celebrate our 65th year in Vero but that is not all. Look for additional shows and events that we are working on bringing to our theatre to celebrate the many creative groups and individuals in our community. So, keep an eye on our website to stay informed. Oh, BTW, come volunteer, it is a fun place and a wonderful community to be active in during your off time.

Tickets are $35 for the plays and $40 for the musical. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2pm. Reservations can be made by phoning the box office Mondays through Fridays from 10am to 2pm or in person at 2020 San Juan Avenue during weekly box office hours. Complete details of the season and other information about the Guild can be found on our website at verobeachtheatreguild.com or just scan our QR code with your phone.

LOOKING FOREWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL AT THE VERO BEACH THEATRE GUILD IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.
