SEBASTIAN — The North County Aquatic Center will reopen to the public Friday after being closed for more than a month for renovations, county officials said.
The improvements include the installation of a new pool liner, a water heater replacement, signage repair, extensive cleaning, repainting and a landscape upgrade. The center, which has a public swimming pool, is located at 9450 County Road 512 in Sebastian, just east of North County Regional Park.
Indian River County officials extended the hours at Gifford Aquatic Center while the North County Aquatic Center was shut down. County officials released information on Thursday about the summer hours and daily fees for the North County Aquatic Center.
Summer Hours:
Lap, Competition Pool:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday Noon – 5 p.m.
Children’s Activity, Slide Pool:
Monday – Friday Noon – 5 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday Noon – 5 p.m.
Notice:
The children’s pool is not open to the public until 12:00 pm (noon) daily Monday through Friday due to summer camps.
