TREASURE COAST CHORALE CELEBRATES AMERICA’S HEROES ON MAY 29TH WITH A CONCERT ENTITLED “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

Vero Beach, FL – In their last performance of this 20th Anniversary season, the 50-voice Treasure Coast Chorale will sing “Salute to America”, a collection of patriotic favorites for its Treasure Coast audience.  This concert will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 29 at the First Baptist Church in Vero Beach.

“Our audiences always love this music, including a salute to those who have served in the Armed Forces, Battle Hymn of the Republic, The Stars and Stripes Forever, and Irving Berlin’s God Bless America,” says Dr. Michael Carter, Music Director of the Chorale.  “We will also be performing two Dan Forrest arrangements of My Country Tis of Thee and Eternal Father, Strong to Save as well as a dynamic new original by Mary McDonald, This Is the Dream inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr’s I Have a Dream speech.  The audience will also enjoy numerous other patriotic favorites that includes Across America…in About Three Minutes featuring themes from some of our 50 states and famous cities.”

The talented special guests who have been invited to perform with the chorale in this musical tribute include the Festival Brass quartet with guitarist Dave Mundy, drummer Richie Mola, and bass and banjo player Patrick Gordon.  Accompaniment will be provided by Judy Carter on the piano and audience members will be asked to provide their own spirited voices during the sing-along portion of the concert.

Held at the First Baptist Church, 2206 16th Avenue, Vero Beach, doors will open for seating at 3 p.m. for the afternoon performance.  There is no admission charge but the audience will have the opportunity to donate to help offset the costs of this musical gift to the community by the Treasure Coast Chorale.
