Come Fish with Us

The Kiwanis Club of Vero-Treasure Coast is taking kids (5 -12) fishing (with adult supervision) on May 14, 2022 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on the fishing catwalk of the Barber Bridge followed by a free lunch from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon provided by Kiwanis.

Registration is between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM. Entry is free and Kiwanis will provide tackle (for those who do not have rods/reels) and bait.

Participation is limited to the first 100 families that sign up. So, don’t delay.

Prizes will be awarded by the Tournament Committee in each age group and a special prize will be awarded for the ugliest fish.

This has been a highly successful event since 1991 and the kids (and their parents) loved it and Kiwanis is determined to repeat that success this year. For some kids this will be the first time that they have ever caught a fish. They get so excited. You can see their faces light up with glee and pride.  Be there to see that.

Bait for the event is donated by Vero Tackle & Marina and trophies are donated by Trophies, Novelties & More. Supervision and overall management of the event is by Kiwanis volunteers.

Pick up and complete an application at one of these county sites; Vero’s Tackle & Sport Shop, White’s Tackle, Professional Outfitters, Discount Tackle, The Pipe Den and King Pompano Bait & Tackle Shop.
