The Gifford Youth Orchestra announced today that tickets are on sale for the annual DIAMONDS AND CRYSTALS Gala. The gala is planned for April 23,2022 and will take place at the Heritage Center in Vero Beach, beginning at 5:30pm.
“This year, the Diamonds and Crystals Gala is themed to recognize Gifford Youth Orchestra’s founder, Rev. Dr. Crystal Bujol, who has grown the organization and served our community for 19 years and counting,” says Marcus Rogers, Esq., GYO gala committee chairman. “The future of the Gifford Youth Orchestra is bright and promising and continues to evolve from the incredible vision, heartwarming inspiration, hard-work, and passion of Dr. Bujol and the community of support she has gathered and grown. The gala is our largest fund-raising event of the year and is integral in providing the resources needed to offer as many interested students as possible the opportunity to explore music and the performing arts.
The Diamonds and Crystals Gala event marks its in-person return, having been held virtually last year. It will offer guests an exceptional evening of music, friendship, while supporting several programs, such as violin, cello, piano, and vocal lessons for the Gifford Youth Orchestra. Highlights of the Diamonds and Crystals Gala will include performances of original and well-known music from youth and adult GYO students of violin, piano and vocal. Selections feature an original song, “Peace of Gifford,” which is the organization’s anthem, written by Jeryl Thompson. Other musical delights are planned to inspire and celebrate the transformative power of music. The evening’s activities also include a sit-down dinner and silent auction.
This is the 19th year of the Gifford Youth Orchestra, whose mission is to provide education, experience and training in various cultural and performing arts, including music, drama, dance and the vocal arts for the youth of Gifford, Florida (and neighboring Indian River County communities) with a core focus on mastering stringed instruments.
