If you need some good laughs, then head to the Vero Beach Theatre Guild to see the funny British farce “See How They Run.” Set after World War II, the comedy is described as a “romp through an English Vicarage.” There are all the ingredients of a respectable British farce – slamming doors, mistaken identify, accelerating mad-cap action and a touch of bawdy humor. The storyline revolves around Penelope, an American actress who has married a British vicar, who himself is doted upon by the town’s busybody. There’s also a befuddled Bishop, a sassy Cockney maid, a handsome American soldier, a timid reverend, a village constable and, with ironic timing itself, a Russian spy. Actor Mason Harvey, who plays Rev. Humphrey, expects audiences to enjoy it. “If they love to laugh and love craziness and chaotic situations and fast pace … oh yeah, it is funny” he says. “See How They Run” performs through April 3 at Vero Beach Theatre Guild, 2020 San Juan Ave., Vero Beach. Tickets are $35. (Disclaimer: Yours truly is the show’s director.) For more information, call 772-562-8300 or visit VeroBeachTheatreGuild.com.
