Judy Bazzetta, 82, Florida

June 3, 1939 – February 3, 2022

Judy passed away peacefully on February 3, 2022 at the age of 82 in Vero Beach, FL.  She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (GG), aunt and friend to many.

Judy was born in Detroit, MI on June 3, 1939, the second child of Marcella and Ted Banach.  She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Mt. Clemens, where she met Frank, her loving husband of 49 years and had 6 children.  Judy and Frank loved to golf, and their love of the sport took them to Florida full time after the kids were grown.  Judy’s other passion was reading; it was common for her to read a book a day in her later years.

Judy is survived by her daughters MaryKaye (Steve), Lynn (Larry) and Amy (Mark) and son-in-law Donnie.  Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, her daughters Cindy and Sherri, her son Stephen and son-in-law Mike. She was fortunate enough to have 12 beautiful grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.  Judy was an honorary mom and grandmother to many people in her life.

Judy is survived by her siblings Sue (Harold), Ted (Shirley), Chris (Ron) and Frank’s brother-in-law John (Nancy).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the RISE Center at https://fundly.com/risecenterirc or mailed to RISE Center IRC, 919 14th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in Judy’s honor.  This is a program with very special meaning to the family as her great-grandson Noah is autistic.  This program is a wonderful option for Noah when he graduates at age 22.  This is the only day program for the disabled available in Indian River County, FL.

Mom always said “please do not cry or mourn because I am gone.  Laugh and rejoice because I lived”.

Mom, you will be missed terribly but you are in a much better place.

A memorial celebration for Judy will be determined at a later date.

Robert F. Moore, 83, Vero Beach

December 14, 1938 – February 7, 2022

Robert F. Moore of Vero Beach, FL, died peacefully on February 7, 2022, after a long battle with dementia. Bob was born December 14, 1938, in Duluth, MN, the son of Maren M. Moore and Eugene R.”Richard” Moore. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of 55 years, Susan J. Moore. Their children include: Robert M. Moore of Cincinnati, OH, Nelson S. Moore, of Eden Prairie, MN, and Katherine S. Rebstock, of Edina, MN. Bob had 8 grandchildren: Lucy Moore, Jonathon Moore, Bethany Moore, Jessica Moore, Jordan Moore, Timothy Moore, Charlie Rebstock, and Anna Rebstock. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Moore, and sister, Maren Hustad.

Bob grew up in Duluth, where he learned to play hockey at a young age. At 13, he was a member of the Glen Avon hockey team which won the national championship at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Bob attended Culver Military Academy for his high school years. Upon graduating, he attended Dartmouth College, in Hanover, NH, where he continued his education and love of hockey.

At Dartmouth, Bob was elected captain of the freshman hockey team and later captain of the varsity. His hockey honors were many. He led his team in scoring, tied for first as the Ivy League’s top scorer, made the ‘All Ivy’ team as well
as New England’s ‘All East’ team. Bob was asked by his Dartmouth coach, Eddie Jeremiah, to join the 1964 Olympic hockey team. He declined the offer, due to an upcoming job commitment with U.S. Steel. Bob was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and also elected to the Sphinx Senior Honor Society in 1961. He participated in ROTC and graduated with a B.A. in History.

Upon graduating, Bob began his business career at the US Steel Company. That experience was interrupted, as he entered the U.S. Army to fulfill his ROTC commitment. Bob was stationed in Nuremberg, Germany as a second lieutenant. His military service was cut short due to a knee injury and he was honorably discharged. Bob returned to U.S. Steel and in 1963 entered the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University where he met his soon-to-be wife, Susan. Bob graduated with an MBA with a concentration in advertising and marketing.

In 1966, Bob and Susan married and moved to Cincinnati, OH, where Bob worked for Procter & Gamble. He served as Brand Manager and later as General Manager of the Industrial Division. Bob worked for 33 years with P&G and had a strong sense of pride and respect for the
company. He retired in 1995.

In 1999, Bob and Susan bought a winter home in Vero Beach, FL and became members of the John’s Island Club. They were active committee members and made wonderful new friendships. Bob was a member of the Vero Beach Community Church and a supporter of the theatre and arts. Bob loved to play golf and also bridge. He enjoyed travel and had a ‘bucket list’ to play the top 100 golf courses. While he certainly did not complete the list, he did make it to many.

Bob and Susan spent their summers in Minnesota as well as in Cincinnati, where they were members of the Cincinnati Country Club. Bob loved the lakes of his native Minnesota as well as spending time with friends and family. He spent time in Battle Lake, MN, as well as Sunshine Lake,
outside of Duluth.

Bob put family first. He was always there to support us. He valued strong work ethic and provided sound advice. He loved coaching and encouraging his family in sports. He valued teamwork and sportsmanship above all. He felt fortunate and proud to have been born in America. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and Christian.

Sadly, Bob’s final years of life were spent battling dementia. Bob’s heirs are deeply grateful to the care he received at Somerset House and to his private, devoted caregiver, Joyce Williams.

It is his family’s wish that any memorials be made to the VNA, Vero Beach, or to our local Alzheimer’s/Parkinson Association.

There will be a memorial service in celebration of his life this Spring in Cincinnati. Details will be made available shortly.
