Robert Paul LaPorte “Bob,” 77, Vero Beach

June 22, 1944 – January 27, 2022

Robert Paul LaPorte “Bob”, age 77, of Vero Beach, FL, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on January 27, 2022. Surrounded by his loving family, he died peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Born in St Clair Shores, Michigan on June 22, 1944, Bob was the son of Earnest Joseph LaPorte and Margaret Annett LaPorte.

On December 30, 1966, Bob married Mary Ann Humanes. Their loving partnership lasted 55 years.

Bob was a well-known and respected building contractor in Vero Beach for 45 years. Bob was also a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, a volunteer at the Harvest Festival for 22 years and an avid hunter.  Bob served his country in the National Guard.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Humanes LaPorte, two children – Marie (LaPorte) Olvey and Vicki (LaPorte) Jordan both of Vero Beach, FL. He is also survived by 5 grand children: Kylee and Devin Kiesel; Isabel, Ivey and Redmen Olvey and great grandchild: Emma Kiesel.  Bob is also survived by his sisters Joyce (LaPorte) Wilde, Janet (LaPorte) Gieger, Jeannie (Laporte) Long, Linda (LaPorte) Von Plinksy and Diane (LaPorte) Steinke and brother Denny LaPorte.  Bob is preceded in death by his siblings, Johnny LaPorte and David LaPorte.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2000 20th St, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Tracy Rene Lee, 61, Vero Beach

February 28, 1960 – January 24, 2022

Tracy Rene Lee, 61 of Vero Beach, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 24, 2022 in Palm Coast, Florida.

She was born to Norval “Storm” and Carol Sprunger on February 28, 1960 in Columbia City, Indiana.

Tracy moved with her family in 1968 to Florida and spent all her adult life in Vero Beach.

She had many joys in life; she loved gardening and spending time outdoors.

Tracy and her late husband, Mike Lee, enjoyed riding Harley Davidson’s with their friends and participating in Toys for Tots programs.

She spent her career working at Publix for over 25 years.  She was truly a loyal and dedicated mother, daughter, friend and coworker.

In addition to her husband and father, Tracy was preceded in death by two of her brothers, Tim and Jon.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Callaghan; mother, Carol Sprunger; siblings, Doug (Susie) , Joellyn, Scott (Lynn) and Melissa (Susie); beloved grandchildren, Vincent, Nick, Jaxon and Olivia; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and dear friends.

A celebration of Tracy’s life will take place at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach at 11:00 am, February 12, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tracy’s name to the Shiner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL  31356.

February 14, 1940 – January 30, 2022

Ronald P. Pettirossi, 78, Sebastian

February 19, 1943 – January 27, 2022

Ronald P. Pettirossi passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Promenade Senior Living in Sebastian. He was 78 and his spiritual strength and fierce determination helped him through the death of his beloved wife of 56 years, Carol, who God chose to bring back to Him September 8, 2020. Ron was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Mauro and Angelina Mazzei Pettirossi, who predeceased him.  He leaves behind daughter Joy Ann Poland (Tim) of Foster, RI, son Damon Pettirossi of Vero Beach, FL and his loving grandchildren, Ashley Hendrickson, Angelina Pettirossi and Ariana Pettirossi all of Sugar Hill and Jayce Poland of Foster. He also leaves a brother Robert Pettirossi (Nancy) of Dover, NH, brothers-in-law, Jon Begin (Joan) of North Palm Beach, FL and Edward Begin (Patty) of Lakeville, MA, and sister-in-law Roslyn (Bob) of Lakeville, MA. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and had been a CPA with Ernst and Young prior to his retirement.  It was in 2003 that Ron and Carol moved to the Treasure Coast from Vernon, CT.  Together they joined St. Sebastian Catholic Church.  He was an avid sports fan, but what he enjoyed most in his later years were the many trips he and Carol experienced with their traveling companions of more than 30 years, Carol, and Gerry O’Connell. Vacations trips to Europe, the Caribbean and various parts of the US.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to be made to either St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.

A Funeral Mass celebrating his life will begin at 11 AM, Thursday, February 3, 2022, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian, FL.
