Ballet Vero Beach announces Program 2: Symphonic Dances

BALLET VERO BEACH ANNOUNCES Program 2: Symphonic Dances
February 25-27, 2022

Celebrate sweeping scores
writ large across our stage with compelling dance!
Ballet Vero Beach is thrilled to announce Program 2: Symphonic Dances February 25-27 at The VBHS Performing Arts Center. The company promises continued safe live performances, digital offerings, unique experiences, and programming for all!

Big and bold scores with dancing to match is the theme of the second program of Ballet Vero Beach’ 2021-2022 Season. Adam Schnell’s sweeping Pastoral Symphony returns alongside a world premiere by Camilo A. Rodriguez.

Schnell’s Pastoral Symphony was an abolute hit at its premiere six years ago. The work uses Beethoven’s 6th symphony to explore the concepts of memory, recollection, and reality juxtaposed against costumes and characters referencing the era in which Beethoven penned his famous work. For Rodriguez’s contribution to the program, he will premiere a meaty neoclassical work set to Bizet’s Roma Symphony. Ballet Vero Beach frequent collaborators konverjdans return as guest artists, appearing alongside the company for this exciting program.

As a continued thank you to all our patrons, and in an effort to continue to make our programming accessible, all productions for the season, including Program 2, will be available in our hugely popular Watch at Home format. Check the website for additional details. Also, our Accessible/Family Friendly Series performance for this program will take place February 27 at 2:00pm. These extra special abbreviated performances are specifically geared to the needs of the differently abled individuals of our community and also young children. Performances include: modified audio/visual effects and venue setup that meets the needs of all attendees with differing abilities. Performances are a bit more informal and may include Q&A sessions or opportunities to take photos with a dancer. For Accessible/Family Friendly performances, all seats are $10 and free tickets are available to Ticket Donation Program partners.
