1 hurt after being struck by vehicle in Sebastian; Roseland Road reopen

Update: Roseland Road was reopened by 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Indian River County sheriff’s officials said.

SEBASTIAN — One person was injured after being struck by a vehicle in a crash that closed northbound Roseland Road Tuesday, sheriff’s officials said.

The wreck happened in the evening on Roseland Road near Collier Club Drive, just southwest of the Sebastian Municipal Airport, Indian River County sheriff’s officials said. The injured person was taken to Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.

The person’s condition was not immediately available.

Deputies and Sebastian police closed northbound traffic in the area of the crash on Roseland Road. Law enforcement redirected traffic to the southbound lanes.

Motorists should find alternate routes and not travel north on Roseland Road from County Road 512, sheriff’s officials said. It was unclear which agency was investigating the cause of the collision.
