Vincent Louis Soukup, 85, Vero Beach

June 02, 1936 – December 18, 2021

Vincent Louis Soukup, age 85, died peacefully at home in Vero Beach, Florida on December 18, 2021.

He was born in Mount Vernon, New York and moved from Otisville, New York to Vero Beach, Florida when he retired.  He retired from Orange County Department of Public Works in 1998.  He graduated from Post Road High School in White Plains, New York, went to Westchester Community College and finished his education at Indiana State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.  He was a certified Civil Engineer.  Vince & Pat moved to Vero Beach, Florida, in 1998 where they enjoyed Traveling and playing Bridge.  He collected Antique Tools and enjoyed being a member of the Mid West Tool Collectors Association.  One of his favorite sayings was “TTSP” (this too shall pass).

He is survived by his three children, Vincent H. Soukup of Middletown, New York  (wife Lisa and children Ashley and Vinny), Ms. Nancy Soukup of Ossining, New York, and Mrs. Patricia Soukup of Vero Beach, Florida (husband Frank Martin), and his brother Harold and his wife Andrea along several nieces, a nephew and great nieces and great nephews.  He was predeceased by two wives of 25 years each, Audrey Rose Soukup and Patricia Spicci Soukup, his Father Vincent, Mother Alma, Brother Robert and Sister-in-law Isobel (Sandy).

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date and time.   Vincent will be buried alongside his first wife Audrey in the Howells Cemetery New York.

Robert George “Bob” Bach, 68, Vero Beach

November 23, 1953 – December 26, 2021

Robert George “Bob” Bach, age 68, of Vero Beach, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021.

He was born November 23, 1953, in Suffern, New York to parents, Bertram and Ada Galvanni Bach.

Bob moved to Vero Beach in 1965, coming from Bitburg, Germany.

He worked 30 years with Winn-Dixie at Miracle Mile, on Oslo, and finally at their store on Rt. 60, all in Vero Beach.

Bob is survived by his sister, Kathleen Chardt; nieces, April Chardt and Kim Bach; and nephews, Brian Bach and Christopher Chardt.

He was predeceased by his brother, Bertam Bach.

Paul Joseph Goode, 92, Vero Beach

February 8, 1929 – December 26, 2021

Paul Joseph Goode, 92, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on December 26, 2021.

Born February 8, 1929 at Pitcairn, Pennsylvania, Paul was a son of the late Joseph Alexander Goode and Hazel Lillian Reynolds Goode.

He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Physics from Michigan Technological University in 1950.

Paul was the Owner of J.A. Goode Co., Great Lakes Concrete Pole Corp, and Ducarra Aviation before retiring in 1995.

He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the 100 Club. Some of Paul’s pastimes included photography, table tennis, skiing and tennis at Sea Oaks.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a son, David Paul Goode.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary Jo “Mimi” Goode, to whom he was married on June 22, 1951 at Ashland, Wisconsin; a sister, Diane Benedict of Colorado; daughter Barbara (John) Drndak of Vero Beach, Florida; daughter-in-law, Dawn Goode of Huntsville, Utah; four grandchildren, Brett (Blake) Donnelly of Orlando, Florida, Ryan (Heather) Donnelly of Waterford, Michigan, Mike Goode of Orlando, Florida, Lisa (John) McHugh of Boulder, Colorado; two nephews, Bill (Mary) Benedict of Longmont, Colorado, Bob (Margie) Benedict of Boulder, Colorado; four great-grandchildren, Ben, Elizabeth, Maple and Lilah; and many other loving family and friends.

A private Celebration of Life is being planned.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Hospice House, 1111 36th Street, Vero Beach, FL.
