Bobby L. Barkwell, Sr., 71, of Vero Beach passed away on December 10, 2021 at the VNA Hospice House.
Bobby was born March 31, 1950 in Vero Beach and was a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Vietnam War. Bobby worked as a Cook for the iconic Mrs. B’s restaurant in Vero Beach.
He is survived by his wife Wanda of Vero Beach.

Larry E. Klutz, 83, Vero Beach
January 02, 1938 – December 06, 2021
Larry E. Klutz, age 83, died on December 6, 2021 at his home in Vero Beach, FL. He was born in Boone, NC and graduated from Appalachian High School in 1957.
He graduated from NC State University and had a long and distinguished career in the Aerospace and Defense Industry. He was passionate about genealogy and gardening in his retirement, and was most proud of his beautiful orchids.
He is survived by his children, Martin Klutz (Trini) of Vero Beach, Emma Peralta (Oscar) of Coral Springs, FL, Amy Klutz (Nathan Smith) of Greensboro, NC and Matt Klutz of Deland, FL. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Trevor Klutz, Rhue Klutz and Ernestine Smith and his sisters Cindy Vannoy (Tom) of Vero Beach FL and Anna Gonzalez of Banner Elk, NC.
He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Louise Klutz.
In honoring his wishes, the family will have a picnic by the river and tell stories about him at a later date.

Eunice Llonch, 93, Micco
August 8, 1928 – December 6, 2021
Eunice Llonch, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at the age of 93 on Monday, December 6th, 2021. Known as “Maita,” Mom, and Grandma, Eunice died peacefully at her home in Micco, Florida with her family by her side. Maita lived a healthy, happy, and vigorous life for most of her years.
Born on August 8, 1928, in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba to Adolfo Garcia and Maria De Jesus Campos Diaz, she was one of four children and had a great love for her brothers Luis, Tite, and Carlos who were all so very special to her, as were their children.
Eunice emigrated to the United States in 1948 and, soon after, met Leopold (Leo) Llonch, the love of her life. They were married on September 10, 1950 and celebrated seventy-one years of a wonderful life together. In 1952, Eunice was proud to become a United States Citizen.
While she acclimated herself to the culture of the United States, she always embraced and shared the values and culture of her homeland, which was something her entire family recognized, appreciated, and valued as well. Her nickname, Maita, was given to her by her loving cousin, Phillip Garcia Jr.
Eunice and Leo created a beautiful family and raised three children: Leo, George and Sandy. They both sacrificed and worked hard to build a good life for their family. Eunice was a woman of many talents, but nothing came before her dedication and love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her love of children didn’t end with her own- she spent sixteen years working as a teacher’s aide and bilingual assistant to the principal for the NYC Department of Education. She loved sharing stories about her time at school with the children. The school was a brighter place because she was there.
Helping and nurturing others came naturally to Maita, and so she made it her mission to give back to communities she felt needed it most. She worked selflessly to improve the conditions of family and friends within the U.S., as well as in Cuba, Mexico, and Venezuela.
Maita was a proud woman of integrity who loved her family and embraced all life had to offer. An animal lover, gifted seamstress, excellent cook, and talented singer and dancer, Maita’s joyfulness and love of life were contagious. She won awards for her singing and had a beautiful voice which she graced her family with throughout her life. Maita especially enjoyed listening and singing to the music of her homeland, Cuba. She loved to dance and was the life of every party. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh and tell jokes. Maita had a beautiful spirit that was disarming if you were anxious, comforting if you were hurt, and reassuring if you had self-doubt. While there are many who possess similar personal attributes, there was certainly no one like Maita.
Eunice is survived by her husband, Leo Llonch, her son, Leo Llonch Jr., and her daughter, Sandra Llonch Costin, as well as seven grandchildren, Jessie, James, Dorothy, Victoria, Catalina, L.T. (Terry) and Jena, and three great grandchildren, Jonathan, Bjorn and Ramona.
Our beautiful Maita was the heart and soul of our family and the glue that held us all together. Her wonderful spirit gave us all an incredible example to emulate and will forever be in our hearts.
Service information:
Visitation will be held 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday December 16, 2021, Strunk Funeral Home Chapel, Sebastian, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Friday December 17, 2021, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, FL with Father John Morrissey, celebrant. Interment will be at Sebastian Cemetery following the funeral mass.

Woodrow (Woody) Hyatt, 94
July 03, 1927 – December 06, 2021
Woodrow (Woody) Hyatt passed at Pelican Landing Assisted Living on December 6, 2021 at the age of 94. Born to William and Hattie Hyatt in Greenwood NC, he was their 12th child.
Woody was an accountant for the federal government living in northern Virginia and served in the United States Air Force from 1947 to 1951 and helped with the Berlin airlift. He was a friend of Bill W. for 54 years helping many people.
Woody married Evelyn Lorraine Moats and they were married for 64 years before her passing. He is also preceded in death by his son, David Allen Hyatt. Survivors include his children, Cynthia (Daniel) Pillitteri of Columbus Ohio, Michael (Sally) Hyatt of Murphy NC, Susan (Andre) Follot of Sebastian FL; his niece, Sylvia Miller of Fort Pierce, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held privately at a later date.

John S. Sacawa, 90
February 26, 1931 – December 10, 2021
John S. Sacawa, age 90, passed away on December 10, 2021. He was born in Sussex, New Jersey, on February 26, 1931 to Joseph and Sophia Sacawa.
Joseph is survived by his loving companion, Iren Mroz, his daughter, Valerie Green (Guy) of Texas, and son, John Sacawa Jr., of New Jersey. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Melissa and Jason of Texas. Joseph is preceded in death by four siblings; Florence, Marion, Joseph, and Walter.
Joseph is a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was also a mechanic and worked for the state of New Jersey. He was a lifetime member of the Polish American Club in Vero Beach.
There will be a celebration of life service on January 8, 2022 from 1-4:00pm.
