The 57th annual St. Helen’s Harvest Festival was back on the fields of the Jackie Robinson Training Complex, following last year’s pandemic, which brought the roar of the roller coasters to a screeching halt.
This time, the tribulations were caused by Mother Nature, who presented organizers with a soggy weekend. But no worries, folks were still thrilled to tiptoe through the raindrops during the three-day, family-friendly festival, where the sounds of children laughing mingled with the scents of carnival food wafting through the air. Young and old braved the rides, tried their luck at traditional carney games such as the ring toss and cake walk, or shopped for handcrafted wares at the Ladybug Boutique. Proceeds from the Harvest Festival benefit the St. Helen’s Catholic School.
