The Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA) is a non-profit organization focused on exploring new ways to protect the ocean, starting right here with our very own precious ocean estuary, the Indian River Lagoon. On February 26, 2022, ORCA will be hosting a fundraising event ORCA’s Explorer’s Experience at Triton Submarines in Sebastian.
Guests will enjoy a locally sourced cuisine, see new state-of-the-art submersibles, glowing footage of creatures from the deep ocean, the first video ever recorded of a giant squid in US waters and talk with the explorers who experienced these marvels first-hand.
Tickets to this event are $250 per ticket and are available at https://teamorca.org/events.html.
Current event sponsors include Triton Submarines, Schmidt Marine Technology Partners, and PNC Private Bank. For sponsorship opportunities please contact Lauren at Ltracy@teamorca.org.
About The Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA)
As the nation’s first technology-based marine conservation organization, ORCA’s niche in responding to large-scale deterioration of the marine environment is to: Collect accurate and scientifically defensible data on water quality and its impact on the marine ecosystems; Provide the data to the public and decision makers in an easily understandable format; And engage communities in marine conservation action. By combining innovative technology, applied science, and community outreach, ORCA is leading the way in protection and conservation of our valuable coast, estuaries and oceans—saving these precious habitats for the generations of tomorrow. www.teamorca.org.
