Bike Walk Indian River County (“BWIC”) was recently awarded a $1,000 grant from the Vero Beach Rotary Charities Foundation. This award will enable BWIRC to continue its efforts to make bikes available to needy residents of Indian River County through its Bike Rehab Program. Amy Banov, President of BWIRC and Dave Hunter, the Director of the Bike Rehab Program attended a monthly meeting at the Rotary Club to explain what BWIRC does and how its rehab program operates. The Bike Rehab Program makes bikes available to are residents who need a bike but cannot afford one. The Rotary Club responded with a generous $1,000 donation.
