VNA to host drive-thru Senior Expo on October 20

VERO BEACH, Florida – (October 5, 2021) – The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) will be hosting a Drive-Thru Senior Expo on Wednesday, October 20, from 9:00am – 12:00pm. This free event will be held at the Indian River County Fairgrounds located at 7955 58th Avenue in Vero Beach.

At the event, attendees will be asked to remain in their cars as they drive through the expo and stop at each vendor to get information. Over 20 vendors will be present to provide information on services that help seniors in our community, including Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, Somerset House at Oak Harbor Assisted Living Facility, Haryani Dermatology and Aesthetics and Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home.

“We wanted to have a safe event that connects seniors in our community with local resources. This drive thru senior expo accomplishes both of these goals, and we are really excited to be able to offer this new style of event to our community,” says Meg Cunningham, Marketing & Communications Director for VNA.

For the safety of our attendees and vendors, attendees are asked to wear a mask as they stop at each tent as vendors hand them information or place it safely in their cars.

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to get their flu shot at the event from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. while supplies last. VNA offers the high-dose flu vaccine for adults age 65 and older and standard quadrivalent flu vaccine. More information about the vaccine and accepted insurance can be found online at www.vnatc.com.
