Cody Lee Best, age 44, passed away September 24, 2021 at his home in Sebastian, Florida.
He was born July 10, 1977 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Davi and stepfather, Stephen J. Davi; father, W.E. “Wink” Best and step-mother, Anita Best; siblings, Angela and Michael Dees, Wyndi Wright, Michael Best, Kelly Ann Immoos, Amy Bennett and Amanda Edmond.
He was predeceased by his stepbrother Shawn Michael Davi; paternal grandmother, Pat Cherry; maternal grandparents, Carolyn A Bailey and Cody L. Bailey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Fort Pierce, 515 Avenue A, Fort Pierce, FL 34950.

Arthur “Joseph” Burns, 87, Sebastian
September 10, 1934 – September 17, 2021
Arthur “Joseph” Burns,87 of Sebastian FL, was called home on the 17th of September 2021 after a short illness. Arthur was born on the 10th Sept 1934 in Parkridge NJ to Arthur Burns and Louise Board Johnson. At the age of 2 “Joe/Joseph” was raised by his grandparents in Chester NY. He attended Chester Schools where he developed a love of Boy Scouts. He attained eagle scout in 1952 and graduated high school from the Chester School system in 1953. Joe married Joan Francis Pakenham on the 16th of January 1960. Shortly after he moved to Goshen NY where he and Joan had 4 children. He worked at the New York State Department of Transportation from 1960 until his retirement in December 1995. At which time he retired to Sebastian Fl. Joseph and Joan Burns became members of St Sebastian Catholic church where he officially became catholic.
Joe was involved in many things, he loved to travel, loved to eat out, especially breakfast and dinners. No one was hungry when he was around! Joe was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years on the 2nd of February 2016. He enjoyed visits from family and friends, his passing happened very quickly without pain or suffering. He will be missed by family and friends, especially his children.
Charlotte Neubauer(Bill),Joseph Burns(Kathy), Richard Burns(Deirdre), and Joanne Burns-Rucker(Kevin). He also had several nieces, nephews, many grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Joseph’s celebration of life will be the 8th of October, 2021, 10am at St. Sebastian Church, 13075 US1 Sebastian, FL. 32958. Burial to follow at Sebastian cemetery. A reception will follow after the burial at the St Sebastian Church Hall.
Joe loved life and bright happy Hawaiian shirts. So luau will be the theme for his last earthly party and heavenly sendoff. In lieu of funeral flowers, please donate to the cause of your choice.
