VERO BEACH — Landscapers discovered an unidentified body Tuesday in a wooded area near Ocean Drive, prompting a police investigation, officers said.
The landscapers found the body about 1 p.m. in the 3700 block of Ocean Drive and then called 911, Vero Beach Police spokesperson Master Officer Darrell Rivers said. It was unknown if foul play was suspected.

Details on the gender and age range of the person were not immediately available. It was unclear how long the body had been in the woods.
Detectives were at the scene investigating.
Two patrol cars could be seen in a grassy area near the woods south of Conn Beach. Crime scene tape roped off a section of the wooded lot.
Police asked motorists to avoid the area for the next several hours.
