Marian Turner, 96, Vero Beach
January 24, 1925 – August 25, 2021
Marian Turner of Vero Beach, Florida, died peacefully at her home on August 25, 2021. Marian was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Pinckard and Edmee McCormick on January 24, 1925.
Marian spent her early years in New Orleans and moved to Oklahoma City in 1939. There she attended Classen High School where she met her future husband. Upon graduation, she attended Oklahoma University majoring in Business Administration. Marian married Alvin E. Turner, Jr. on August 23, 1947.
Following their marriage, Marian and Alvin returned to New Orleans and eventually settled in Harahan, Louisiana. There they raised their three children, Al, Linda, and Janie. Marian was active in her children’s school and scouting activities, as well as her church. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities including, Church Secretary from 1963-1970. Marian was a member of Merry Christians, Alpha Phi Sorority, Texaco and Chevron Retirees Association, Classen High School Alumni Association, and Jefferson Parish Garden Clubs.
In June 2004, Marian moved to Vero Beach, Florida, to be closer to her family. She joined First Methodist Church where she found great fellowship among the members. Marian loved line dancing, music, gardening, travel, bible studies, dogs and sunflowers.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Turner, Jr. in 1982. She is survived by her three children, Al Turner (Pilar) and Linda Futrell (Ed) of Vero Beach, Florida, and Janie Riess (Oscar) of Collierville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Allison Land, Matt Turner, David Riess, and Laura Kellum; and five great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Katie, Grady, Claire and Andy.
A Service of Remembrance and Celebration will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at First Methodist Church, 1750 20th St., Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to “FMC Operation Love Your Neighbor” at the above address.

Kelsey R. Holton, 47, Fellsmere

Kelsey R. Holton, age 47, of Fellsmere, FL, passed away August 25, 2021.
Kelsey was born November 7, 1973, in Elmira, New York.
He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, “Class of 1992.”
Kelsey was the owner and operator of his own trucking company.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, April; daughter, Kellee Holton of Fellsmere; grandson, Jayson Sperling of Sebastian; mother, Linda Holton Pier (Gerald) of Fellsmere; brother, John Holton of Millerton, PA; three sisters, Roberta Holton of Henderson, Nevada, Kim Burnett of Okeechobee, FL and Kimberlee Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas; and good friend, Caleb Cummins of Sebastian.
Kelsey was predeceased by his father, Robert Donald Holton.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Fellsmere Community Bible Church and announced in the near future.

Isaac Moises Perez, 55, Vero Beach

Isaac Moises Perez, 55, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his home in Vero Beach.
Isaac was born in Cali, Colombia moved to Vero Beach 14 years ago from Overland Park, Kansas.
He had been the owner of Panda Roofing and was a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Vero Beach.
A sense of community was important to Isaac which led him to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Indian Guides, and the Exchange Club.
Survivors include his wife Nicole Perez of Vero Beach, a daughter Leah Yael Perez and son Eli Alberto Perez both of Vero Beach, a sister Debbie Eidelman of St. Louis, Missouri, his mother Myriam Milgrom of Vero Beach, his father Edward Perez of Orlando, and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice in honor of Isaac.
A funeral service will take place at Beth El Memorial Park in Fort Pierce beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday August 27, 2021 with Rabbi Michael Birnholz of Temple Beth Shalom officiating.

Tom was raised in New Hampshire as the youngest of 7 children. Tom was an Army veteran as a paratrooper, and proud to have served his country. He was in the construction industry all his life and took pride in every thing he touched.
Tom was a great Partner, Father, Grandfather and Brother, he loved unconditionally and will be missed by all the lives he touched.
