The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra has made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming concert, Remembering 9-11. The total reported cases of Covid for the past week in Brevard and Indian River Counties was the highest of the pandemic so far.
First and foremost, our main obligation is keeping you safe, along with our musicians and volunteers. Over the last month, we have lost several of our musicians and volunteers to Covid. Further, quite a few of our long-time patrons have passed away due to Covid. It seems antithetical to our organization to put on an event honoring those we’ve lost, by putting others in harm’s way, even with Covid protocols in place.
We worked very hard behind the scenes to see mulling different options to make this concert happen. Ultimately, your safety is most important and we will find an alternate date for this concert in the future.
