William Henry Ford, 59

January 21, 1962 – August 14, 2021

William Henry Ford, a beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather, passed peacefully on August 14, 2021, at age 59.

There was nothing Bill enjoyed more than a good conversation with old and new friends. Bill could have an engaging conversation with anyone and his stories are unmatched. He will be forever missed.

He is preceded in death by his Father, William W. Ford.

He is survived by his wife, Candy Ford, two sons William A. Ford (Billy) of Vero Beach and Michael R. Ford of Vero Beach, daughter Sara J. Elpers of Vero Beach, Mother Lulu M. Ford of Vero Beach, and Brothers Robert M. Ford (Bobby), Joseph Ford, and Andrew Ford.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 21st, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 51 Old Dixie Hwy, Vero Beach, FL 32962 at 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Arianna Kathleen Steere, 19, Sebastian

February 28, 2002 – August 11, 2021

Ms. Arianna Kathleen Steere, 19, of Sebastian, Florida passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, Florida.

Arianna was born in Syracuse, New York and moved to the Treasure Coast in 2007 from Parish, New York.

She was currently enrolled in the Wabasso School and was a member of the Community Church in Vero Beach, Florida.

Arianna was a Junior Guardian Angel, loved music, being around people, spending time near water.

Survivors include her mom, Carolyn Lynn Steere and her significant other, Gilbert Rodriguez of Sebastian, FL; dad, Clinton Steere of Parish, New York; sister, Violet Steere of Parish, New York; maternal aunt and uncle, Colleen and Charles Peterson of Vero Beach, FL; paternal aunt, Athene Halstead of Parish, New York; paternal grandparents, Allen and Elaine Steere of Parish, New York; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; maternal grandmother, Coralie Scott of Pulaski, New York; maternal uncle, John Scott of Pulaski, New York.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, John Scott, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Church, 1901 22rd Street, Vero Beach, FL  32960 or the Wabasso School, 8895 US Highway 1, Sebastian, FL  32958 in loving memory of Arianna Kathleen Steere.

A memorial service celebrating her life will take place 2 PM, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Community Church in Vero Beach, Florida.

Helen H. Woods, 89, Vero Beach

October 18, 1931 – August 5, 2021

Helen H. Woods, 89, of Vero Beach passed away August 5th, 2021, in the home she and her husband built some 60 years ago.

She was born October 18, 1931, in Ocoee, Tennessee to the late John C. Howard & Esther Ann Prince Howard.

Helen graduated from Vero Beach High School and attended the First Baptist Church.

She retired from Citrus Bank after 31 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Curtis Arlie Woods; and two siblings, Isbell Rice & Richard Howard.

Helen is survived by her sister, Betty Jean Thigpen; six nieces and nephews; and their families.

There will be a private family service.

Miles M. O’Brien, Jr., 86, Vero Beach

July 21, 1935 – August 12, 2021

Miles M. O’Brien, Jr. of died peacefully on August 12, 2021 at age 86 after contracting COVID-19 in the Sea Breeze Rehabilitation Facility where he was being treated for a other chronic illnesses. He was born July 21, 1935 in Detroit and grew up in Grosse Pointe, MI, where he resided until November 1986 when he moved to Vero Beach, Florida.

He graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC in 1957 where he met his future wife, Carol Riley of Weston, MA, who was enrolled at Marymount College in Arlington, VA. They were married at St Ignatius Church, Newton MA, in September 1958 and settled in Grosse Pointe Farms.

There, they raised a son, Miles M. O’Brien, III, and a daughter, Aileen C. O’Brien.

After two years in retailing and three years in banking, Miles became a life insurance agent in 1963 and, twenty years later, a life insurance recruiter as well. He remained active in the business until 2012.

He was a private pilot who sparked a lifelong passion for flying in his son, an aviation analyst for CNN.

Miles was an active fundraiser for various charitable organizations including Bon Secours Hospital, The Grosse Pointe Academy, and Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He was also very active in his two parishes, St Paul in Grosse Pointe Farms and Holy Cross in Vero Beach, serving as a lector and lay Eucharistic minister.

For many years he took great pride and fulfillment in delivering the Eucharist to homebound members of the Holy Cross Parish. In his final hours, he found solace in their examples of peace, courage and joy at the end of their lives.

During the pandemic lockdown, he met the second love of his life. Jeanne Lawrence, at the Solaris Assisted Living Facility in Vero Beach. They made plans to be married, but she too contracted COVID in another rehabilitation facility and died in February of 2021.

He was also predeceased by his wife and daughter. Surviving family members include his son and four grandchildren, Aileen C. Graef of Washington, DC, Miles M. O’Brien, IV of Catania, Italy, Connery F. O’Brien of Brooklyn, NY and Katherine R. Graef of Jacksonville, FL.

Lynn Royce Cliff, 81, Sebastian
 
April 01, 1940 – August 12, 2021
Mr. Lynn Royce Cliff, 81, of Sebastian, Florida passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, FL.Lynn was born in Albion, New York and had been a winter resident for over 30 years coming from Albion, New York, becoming a full time resident six years ago.He had served in the US Army during the Vietnam war.Lynn had owned L. R. Construction Company in Albion prior to his retirement.

He was of the Presbyterian faith, and a member of the American Legion and VFW in Sebastian. Lynn loved the time he got to spent fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Cliff of Sebastian; a son, Michael Cliff of Albion, New York; sister, Joan Davidson of Kissimmee, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Royce and Marjorie Haylett Cliff.

William F. Breinlinger, 85, Barefoot Bay

March 26, 1936 – August 12, 2021

Mr. William F. Breinlinger, 85, of Barefoot Bay, Florida passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at his home.

William was born in Floral Park, New York to the late Frederick and Helen Moser Breinlinger and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1991 from Bayshore, New York.

He retired from Grumman Aerospace after 37 years of service.

William was a member and an usher for mass at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Micco, FL. and was a member of the Honor New York Club, the Italian / American Club, the Chairman of Neighborhood Watch, the German Club and a Volunteer at Sebastian River Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Rose Marie Breinlinger of Barefoot Bay; daughter, Christine Jannen of Sebastian; sons, William Breinlinger and his wife Adele of Melbourne, Robert Breinlinger and his wife Lynn of Brookhaven, New York, John Breinlinger and his wife Doreen of Tucson, Arizona, James Breinlinger and his wife Diane of Hauppauge, New York and Richard Breinlinger and his wife Jennifer of Hartselle, Alabama; sister, Carol Tate and her husband Toby of High Springs; 19 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brother Frederick Breinlinger and grandson George Michael Breinlinger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Barefoot Bay Vitas Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 PM on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian, FL with a prayer service beginning at 6 PM.

A funeral mass celebrating his life will begin at 11 AM at St. Luke’s Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Palm Bay, FL.

Mary C. Carrow, 86, of Vero Beach, passed away August 15, 2021.  She was born in Roundstone, Ireland, and immigrated to the United States.   She was  a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church.

She is survived by; Ellen Hoben(Robert), Chrissy Carrow and Kathleen Chalich (Michael); grandchildren, Aaron, Sarah, James, Ryan, Jacqueline, Katie and Connor; and great grandchildren, Tatiana and Khalil.

She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Carrow Jr., daughter, Mary Elizabeth Carrow and parent, John DeCourcey and Ellen Gorham Carrow.

Visitation:  10:00 AM, Thursday, August 26, 2021, at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.

Service:  11:00 AM, Thursday, immediately following the visitation.

Interment will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 26, 2021 in South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.

Albert L. Adams, 77, Fort Pierce

May 25, 1944 – August 13, 2021

Albert L. Adams, a resident of Fort Pierce, Florida, died on August 13, 2021 at the age of 77.  All was born in Yonkers, New York on May 25, 1944.  He was blessed with 54 years of marriage to his high school sweetheart, Marie “Terry” Adams.
