Arthur Jason “A.J.” Hill, 48, Vero Beach

October 24, 1972 – June 08, 2021

Arthur Jason “A.J.” Hill, age 48, passed away June 8, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital.

He was born October 24, 1972 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Jason was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, class of 1992 where he played on the Drumline. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from University of Phoenix and ran his own Certified Public Accountant office.

Mr. Hill served in the United States Navy and was a Petty Officer 3rd Class as Aviation Ordinance and worked on the USS Enterprise (CVN-65).

Jason attended Calvary Chapel of Vero Beach.

Survivors include his mom, Dorothy Jean Green; step-father, Gary Green; brother, David Robinson and his significant other, Sharon; sister, Kathy (Troy) Stallings; brother, Jason (Ashley) Green; daughter, Isabella Grace Hill; soulmate, Jaime Kurutz Hill; nieces and nephews, David John Robinson, Chelsea Green Rojas and Johnny Green.

He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Mayfield Hill, III.

A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Crestlawn Cemetery with Military Honors.

Jacqueline Anne (York) Riepl, 84, Vero Beach

October 10, 1936June 09, 2021

Jacqueline Anne (York) Riepl, age 84, passed away June 9, 2021 at her home in Vero Beach.

She was born in South River, New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1999 for retirement.

She was a member of all-state chorus for 3 high years in High School and continued her love of music and musicals throughout her life.

Jackie was a homemaker and her relationships with her family were everything to her. Her family was all devoted to her all the way down to her great grandchildren. Her special relationship with each and every one of them will remain in their hearts forever. A true and wonderful friend to many and anyone who crossed her path in Life was impacted by her warmth.

She was a member of St. John’s of the Cross, Vero Beach.

Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years Francis Riepl of Vero Beach, sons Timothy and Diane Riepl of Monmouth Beach, NJ, Frank and Paula Riepl of Milltown, NJ, and Glenn and Jill Riepl of Chapel Hill, NC, beloved sister Bernice Macaro of Milltown, NJ, 6 grandchildren Joseph and Bridget Riepl of Rumson, NJ, Amie and Tim Retzlaff of Milltown, NJ, Winston Riepl and Sydney Riepl both of Monmouth Beach, NJ, Nicole Riepl of Boston, MA, Zachary Riepl of Chapel Hill, NC, great grandchildren Patrick, Sadie, Madison, Kennedy, Nieces and Nephews, Larry Macaro and Kelly Andrulewich, Jackie Macaro, Jan and John Laub, Doug and Leslie Reichenbach.

A Memorial Mass will take place 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 7550 26th St, Vero Beach, FL 32966.

In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made to: VNA Hospice, Vero Beach Office, 1110 35th Lane. Vero Beach, Florida 32960. In addition to noted arrangements in Vero Beach, a visitation will be held on June 30th at The Crabiel Home for Funerals in Milltown, NJ from 4 – 7.

Joan McCarthy Reynolds, 87, Vero Beach

August 09, 1933 – June 06, 2021

Joan McCarthy Reynolds, 87, passed away on June 6. She is survived by many loving individuals, including her grandchildren, Kelly Reynolds, Kevin Reynolds and Stephanie Reynolds, daughter-in-laws, Kim Predgen and Kim Reynolds, several nieces and nephews, and devoted friends. She is predeceased by her husband John R. “Dick” Reynolds and sons John E. Reynolds and Timothy F. Reynolds.

Joan was born in Bronx, New York on August 9, 1933. She grew up in Auburn, New York. She married Dick in 1955. Joan spent time between Camillus, New York and Vero Beach, Florida. In recent years, Joan called Vero Beach, Florida home. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends.

Joan will be deeply missed by family and friends.

No services will take place, but we do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time. As an alternative to flowers, donations can be made to Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Drive, Syracuse, NY 13219.

June 30, 1958 – June 10, 2021

Gary Lynn Hall, 62, of Vero Beach, passed away, June 10th, 2021. Funeral services will be Monday, June 14th,11:00 am at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach Chapel followed by burial in Sebastian Cemetery. Helen L. Westbrook, 88, Vero Beach

February 17, 1933 – June 4, 2021

Helen L. Westbrook passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021 (age 88), in Vero Beach Florida, with her family by her side.

She was the loving mother of Richard H. Westbrook (Julia) and Catherine J. Westbrook (Bill). She was blessed with three grandchildren, Seneca, Paige and Quinn. She was born February 17,1933 in Chicopee, MA to William Lempart and Antonia (Gasior) Lempart.

She graduated from Chicopee High School in 1950. Helen moved to Washington, DC in 1956 to work for Senator John F. Kennedy and subsequently on the 1960 Kennedy presidential campaign. After the election she worked in the Kennedy White House for Kenny O’Donnell, Special Assistant to the President. In January 1963 she moved to Rome to work in the American Embassy as Secretary to the Commercial Attache.

While in Rome she learned Italian and developed her lifelong love of good wine and strong coffee. Helen then moved to New York in 1964 where she worked as an Executive Secretary for Jacqueline Kennedy. She then returned to Washington, DC and soon started a family. As a proud Washingtonian she was involved in DC politics working on Marion Barry’s first mayoral campaign and the election of John A. Wilson as Councilman of Ward 2. Her generosity of spirit and dedication to her children led her to multiple volunteer positions at St. Peter School, St Dominic Catholic Church and Soccer on the Hill.

Helen was the last of her siblings to pass and will be buried with them, as well as her parents, in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee, MA. Services will be at 10 a.m. July 21, at Basilica of St. Stanislaus, 566 Front St, Chicopee, MA 01013. Eugene B Hyden, 87, Roseland

December 26, 1933 – June 01, 2021

Eugene Boyd Hyden went home to his Lord and Savior on June 1, 2021. He was born to Allen and Nellie Hyden on December 26, 1933 in Bluefield, West Virginia. He was an Air Force Veteran and was stationed in Japan as a Morse code operator.

Gene worked for the United States Postal Service for 34 years. Having served as Postmaster in Marlington, WV., he moved to Florida and was Postmaster in Roseland, FL. until his retirement in 1990.

Gene was a lifetime member of Roseland Volunteer Fire Department, serving as Assistant Chief for many years. He was a founding member of Sebastian Elks Lodge Post 2714 and a member of many other local organizations.

Gene is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pat, stepson James (Angelica) Via, grandsons Jesse and Jeremy, and two brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by twin sons, Terry and Jerry, stepdaughter Kathy Sue Newkirk, and his brother, Allen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer at 900 27th Ave, Vero Beach, FL. 32960.

Graveside service will be 10:30am on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Sebastian City Cemetery under the care of Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian, FL.
