Mr. Richard Albert Kalin, 61, died June 6, 2021 at Vitas Inpatient Hospice House in Rockledge, FL after a brief illness with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey and lived in Barefoot Bay, Florida.

Richard was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Micco, Florida.

Survivors include wife of 10 years, Mary Kalin of Barefoot Bay, FL; sister-in-law, Maryann Kalin; stepsons, Michael Fournier of Melbourne, FL, Peter Fournier of Kissimmee, FL, Danny Murphy of Melbourne, FL and Timmy Murphy of Titusville, FL; stepdaughter, Patricia Hendrickson of Melbourne, FL.

Visitation will be held 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, FL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at St. Luke Catholic Church, Micco, FL with Father Tony Welle, celebrant.

William Phillips Blaisdell, M.D., 92

May 06, 1929 – June 02, 2021

William Blaisdell, fondly referred to as “Dr. Bill”, passed through death to meet his Lord on June 2nd, 2021.

Bill was born in Jamestown, NY on May 06, 1929, the son of Dr. Harold Blaisdell and Florence Phillips Blaisdell.  He volunteered to serve in the Korean War and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Betsy Blaisdell Smith, by sons Stephen and Mark Blaisdell, and by his first wife, Virginia Bush Blaisdell.

Bill is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Ann Marie Dunning Blaisdell; a daughter, Susan (Richard) Blaisdell Scriven; sons, Robert Shelby (Julia) Blaisdell, Matthew (Jimcy Platholi) Blaisdell and David (Sun Kyung Park) Blaisdell; step-sons, Steven (Deborah) Darling, Jeffrey (Peggy) Darling, and Daniel Darling; and a sister, Cynthia (Ephrem) Blaisdell Gelfman.  He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bill was blessed by friends in his church family at Kings Baptist Church in Vero Beach, Florida; at Jamestown General Hospital and WCA Hospital in Jamestown; at Stevens Community Hospital in Morris, Minnesota; and within other communities in the U.S. and abroad, where he performed surgery and served in medical mission programs.

In lieu of memorials, Bill requested that all conisider accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  The reward will be strength and hope for the future during the inevitable trials and heartaches in this life, as well as eternity in the presence of God.
