MCKEE BOTANICAL GARDEN TO PARTICIPATE IN BLUE STAR MUSEUM PROGRAM

 

McKee Botanical Garden will offer free admission to military personnel and their families this summer

from May 15 – September 6, 2021

[VERO BEACH, FL – MAY 11, 2021] – McKee Botanical Garden announces it will join museums nationwide in participating in the Blue Star Museums Program.  This program provides free admission to our nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families this summer. The 2021 program launches on Saturday, May 15, 2021, Armed Forces Day, and will end on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Military can find the list of participating museums at arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.

Blue Star Museums is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in collaboration with Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums nationwide.

“McKee Botanical Garden is proud to participate in the 2021 Blue Star Museums program.  While we provide a discounted rate for all Veteran’s year-round in appreciation of their service and sacrifice, we feel it is also important to thank the active-duty military and their families for their service to our country,” stated Christine Hobart.

About McKee Botanical Garden

McKee Botanical Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to nurture and enhance a historic garden in a unique tropical setting for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of all.  McKee Botanical Garden is located at 350 US Highway 1 in Vero Beach. Regular business hours are:  Tuesday-Saturday (10 am – 5 pm), Sunday (noon – 5 pm).  The last admission ticket is sold at 4 pm.  The Garden is closed on Mondays and major holidays.  Regular Garden admission is $15 Adults, $13 Seniors (65+)/Youth (13-17), $10 Children (2-12).  McKee members and children under 2 are free.
