Historically, Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition (IRCHSC) has been busy Mother’s Day weekend putting on it’s signature fundraiser, Dancing with Vero’s Stars (DWVS). This year, however, with COVID-19 putting a temporary stop on DWVS, IRCHSC was afforded a new opportunity to shift the focus deeper to their mission – celebrating mothers.
A new fundraiser bloomed, quite literally. This Mother’s Day weekend, IRCHSC held it’s first Mother’s Day focused fundraiser, “Mother’s Day Garden of Love”. The garden was installed outside of the Riverside Children’s Theatre, and was open to the public to enjoy for the weekend. Each metal flower was “planted” in honor of a mom. 100% of the proceeds raised from the flowers directly benefit IRCHSC.
Featuring a live plant landscape, the garden was a beautiful spot for a Mother’s Day photo op, and was the perfect way to celebrate the incredible moms we love.
