ELC gets check from Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach

Environmental Learning Center gets $3975 from Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach for their ” Little Wonders” program which starts 4/28 for toddlers to 4 years of age.

“Studies show that outdoor exposure benefits humans in so many ways, yet we do not spend nearly enough time outside. This is especially true for toddlers who desperately need meaningful opportunities to participate in nature play and exploration. Outdoor education and nature play have been linked to increases in problem-solving, creativity, and social skills, all of which are keystones to student success in primary school and beyond.” see more information at https://www.discoverelc.org/post/toddler-nature-classes-in-vero-beach

4 of the 5 Sunrise Committees that partnered to fund were available for the check presentation: Community Services Chair Jane Burton, Health & Wellness Chair Pam O’Donnell, Literacy Chair in training Cheryl Ward and Environmental Chair Robin Pelensky attended with Sunrise President Richard Giessert. (Youth Chair Mike Murphy was out of town).
