Curtis (Curt) Edward Oliver, 83

October 14, 1937 – March 29, 2021

Curtis (Curt) Edward Oliver, age 83, passed away Monday, March 29th in Vero Beach, Florida surrounded by his family.

Curt was born in Richwoods, Missouri and his career took him to many locations throughout the United States. He was a member of the United States Army & Reserves. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Washington University of St Louis. He served various leadership roles in Finance/Accounting for 30 years with the United Parcel Service (UPS), retiring at the company headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

In his retirement, he served on the board of the Homeowners Associations for both his homes in Atlanta and Florida. Curt was very philanthropic, supporting many local, national, and international charitable causes. He enjoyed golf, tennis, socializing with friends and family, and travelling. In his retirement he was able to travel to many destinations throughout the globe. He had a passion for collecting cars and attending car shows as well as attending various Auto Racing events.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Bonnie; his son Brad (wife Sue), his daughters Angela (husband Paul dec.) and Christy; Grandsons Matthew (wife Eileen) and Andrew; numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Eric Nicholas Butler, 41, Sebastian

April 9, 1979 – March 27, 2021

Mr. Eric Nicholas Butler, 41, died March 27, 2021 unexpectedly in Vero Beach, Florida.

He was born in Connersville, Indiana and lived in Sebastian, Florida for many years.

Eric was currently working in construction as a roofer.

Eric enjoyed his younger years being in a Scout Pack, Sebastian Little League where his father was a faithful guide and coach. Eric loved working on cars like his father and grandfather. He loved clothes, hats and especially shoes.

Survivors include his mother, Deborah Williams of Sebastian, FL; daughters, Taylor McClung of Blaine, Washington, Erica Butler and Anaya Butler; brothers, Evan N. Butler and Brian Butler; maternal grandmother, Verdie Sue Noce of Melbourne, FL, maternal uncle and aunts, John and Teresa Pratt of Fellsmere, FL and Tony and Lucinda Carmack; paternal uncle, Eddie Butler, paternal aunt, Ray Jean Butler, great aunt, Linda Hisle, great uncle and aunt, Larry and Sheila Grassman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronny Ray Butler; maternal grandfather, Emanuel Noce; maternal cousin; Gennifer Dean; paternal grandparents. Raymond and Jean Butler; uncle, Billy Butler and aunt, Stacey Butler.

At the request of the family services will be held privately.

Elizabeth P. (Moore) Jones, 89, Fellsmere

September 12, 1931 – March 29, 2021

Elizabeth P. (Moore) Jones, of Fellmere, Florida passed from this life to one with God on March 29, 2021, at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband, William B. Jones, who was the love of her life. She will be sorely missed.

As a long time, employee of Burdines/Macy’s, Elizabeth was the consummate Petite Sales Associate, always greeting her customers with a big smile and a delightful southern accent.

Survivors include her sons – William L. Jones (David) of Houston, Texas, Michael D. Jones (Debbie) of Sebastian, Florida, Robert K. Jones (Elaine) of Vero Beach, Florida – and daughter, Jennifer A. Freehill (Brooks) of Boulder, Colorado. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Strunk Funeral Home at 916 17th Street in Vero Beach, FL on Monday, April 5,2021, at 2pm with a service to follow at 4pm with the Reverend William H. Ruehman, Jr. officiating.

A second visitation will be held in Eastman, GA at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home at 206 5th. Ave. from 12pm to 2pm on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, with a graveside service to follow at 3pm at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Chauncey, GA, Reverend Paul Coles officiating.

Herbert Carey Patton, 89, Sebastian

February 25, 1932 – March 12, 2021

Herbert Carey Patton, 89, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away in his home on Friday, March 12, 2021.

Herbert was born on February 25, 1932 in Roseland, Florida to Willie Forest and Madge Mae (Dills) Patton. He was raised along with 6 brothers and 2 sisters in the very small town of Roseland, Florida.

Herbert was a U.S. Army Veteran from 1949 to 1952 he served his country stationed at the Panama Canal.

Herbert worked for Piper Aircraft Corporation mostly in the Sheet Metal Department. After 37 years of faithful service, he retired from the building airplanes to become a Security Officer at Sea Oaks for several years. Herbert’s passion though, was for the Loyal Order of Moose. He has been a very active member of the organization for 55+ years. Herbert was a life member of Vero beach Moose and he helped institute Sebastian River Moose. But Herbert didn’t stop there he also became a member at the Palm Bay Moose. For his dedication to the Loyal Order of Moose, in 1992, Herbert was presented with the Pilgrim Degree of the Loyal Order of Moose, this recognition bestows upon him the highest honor within the gift of his fraternity.

Herbert finally completed his education in 1995 receiving his High School Diploma. And in 1997 he was presented the Indian River County School Board Golden Apple Award for his dedication and support to the Project Return Mentoring Program.

After many years living in Vero Beach, Herbert moved his family to Sebastian, Florida where he lived for over 40 years in the home that he built himself along with help from his children.

Herbert is survived by sons, William Franklin Robbins, Jr., David Carey Patton of San Diego, California and his daughter, Mary Ann Nilson of Englewood, Florida; one grandson, three Granddaughters and three Great Grandsons; and one sister, Ann Agent of Thousand Oaks, California.

Herbert was preceded om death by his parents Willie and Madge Patton, brothers, Tommy, John, Allen, Melvin, Harry and Troy; sisters, Mary Joiner and infant sister, Ethel Doris died at birth.

A Celebration of Life for Herbert Patton will be held at the Sebastian River Moose Lodge, 9250 U.S. Highway 1, Micco, Florida 32976 on April 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM.

Frank Aliano, 78, Parkland

June 21, 1942 – March 24, 2021

Frank Aliano78, of Parkland, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 with his family by his side.

He was born in Manhattan, New York on June 21,1942 to the late Dominic Aliano and Elizabeth Carrigan.

Frank is survived by his beautiful wife, Jeanne. They were married June 22, 1963 and celebrated almost 58 years of marriage. He was a proud father of his three daughters: Debbie, Deanna, and Dawn and a loving grandpa to his five grandchildren: Ryan, Amanda, Jordan, Brock, and Logan.
