Easter Egg Hunt goes over well with delighted kids

The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department rolled out its 61st annual Easter Egg Hunt last Saturday morning, drawing swarms of children from toddlers to age 9 to search for more than 3,000 plastic eggs filled with candy that had been hidden along the grassy area and beach in front of Mulligan’s Beach House.

Clutching their Easter baskets and pails, the race was on as youngsters made a mad dash for the treats, hoping also to track down the elusive golden eggs to receive Easter Baskets filled with toys and goodies. The Easter Bunny was on hand to oversee the festivities and ensure that no child would leave empty-handed. The event was sponsored by the Vero Beach Recreation Dept., Mulligan’s and ABC Printing.
