Tipsy Turtle 2 Mile – Running Into Sea Turtle Nesting Season

Vero Beach, FL. (03/30/2021) Coastal Connections, Inc., is a Vero Beach 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to protect coastal habitats and help sea turtles recover by educating and connecting people to the environment. They focus on offering interactive and immersive experiences to help you create a connection with wildlife and ultimately incorporate conservation minded behavior changes into your daily life. With sea turtle nesting season starting up, Coastal Connections, Inc (CCinc) is ready to run straight into an exciting nesting season and they want you to join them! The Tipsy Turtle 2 Mile run/walk is a family friendly and educational way to start your Saturday Morning. This event is more than just a race however. It is a beach bash!

Following the exciting 2 mile fun run along Ocean Drive with beautiful views of Jaycee Beach, there will be a free educational hatchling dash on the beach for young runners (9 and younger). Kids will line up and dash their way to the ocean and sargasso sea as they “escape” predators and human related threats. Donnie Haight will also be providing good vibes all morning long while adult beverages are provided by Sailfish Brewing Co. and Mulligans Beach House. We will wrap up the morning fun with a silent auction. All funds raised through the race day events will be used to support CCinc’s mission and programs to protect sea turtles in Vero Beach.
