Newest addition to the VBCO Board, Richard Eisenberg

The Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Eisenberg of Port St. Lucie to the orchestra’s Board of Directors.  “Richard has been a valued member of our French Horn section for nearly a decade”, said Joel Gratwick, President of the VBCO Board. “He has a deep understanding of community musical groups and musicians, and we are looking forward to his thoughtful contributions as we move forward.”

Mr. Eisenberg started playing French horn at age 12 and played through high school, college, and military service.  He has been a dedicated member of various community bands and orchestras in New Jersey and Florida ever since.

“Music has always been an important part of my life,” said Eisenberg. “Having the opportunity to continue to play high quality repertoire with experienced and talented colleagues is a gift, and I look forward to working with the Board to continue to build the orchestra’s role as an asset and gem within this community”.

Mr. Eisenberg retired from a career in executive management (Ricoh Corp.) in 2009.  In addition to his musical pursuits, he is also an avid golfer. He and his wife, Sally, reside in Port St. Lucie.

The Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra, directed by Colbert Page Howell, was formed to provide for the cultural enrichment of Indian River County by presenting two free concerts each year. The group is composed of an assortment of local musicians, ranging from high school students to seasoned professionals.
