Melissa Snyder Redman, 41, Vero Beach

June 06, 1979 – February 26, 2021

On Friday, February 26th, 2021, Melissa Snyder Redman, passed away at the age of 41.

She was born June 6, 1979 and had been a lifetime resident of her birthplace, Vero Beach.

Melissa was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, Class of 1997; where she participated in the Future Farmers of America program, raising, and selling pigs and with HOSA, training as a certified nursing assistant.

She had worked mostly as a dental assistant.

Melissa is survived by her children, Madison Garver Snyder and Ethan Garver Snyder; parents, James and Mary Snyder; brothers, James Snyder, Joe Snyder and Justin Snyder all of Vero Beach and Jack Snyder of Lake Charles, LA; and grandmother, Phyllis Deely; along with many aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Melissa was predeceased by her grandparents, Frank Deely, Art Snyder, Jerri Snyder and Marie Stewart.

The family will greet friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 13, 2021 with a 2 p.m. Memorial Service to follow at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory.

Joe Bolivard, 64, Fort Pierce

September 04, 1956 – March 02, 2021

Joe “DH”  Bolivard  of Ft. Pierce, Florida passed away on Tuesday, March 2nd.  He was born to Joseph and the late Norma (Brunson) Bolivard on September 4, 1956.  He graduated from Forestville High School in 1974.  He married Cindy (Murray) who is the love of his life and best friend of 37 years.
In his younger days, you would find Joe bartending with great enthusiasm and jokes for all.  Joe worked out west for a drilling company and fire suppression company.  He was the previous owner of the “Tavern on the Mall” and a car salesman. “Joe could sell a used car to a used car salesman.”  After moving to Florida in 1994, Joe continued his career in sales and was owner of his Shirt and Hat company.  Joe was very passionate for our country and military.  He was an avid WWII buff.  He participated in the “Honor Flight” program.  His hobbies were golf, boating, motorcycling, traveling and of course beer.  He was a past member of the St. Peter’s Church in Forestville, Dunkirk Conservation Club and the Fredonia Fire Dept.  Joe will forever be remembered for his red hair, freckles, humor, endless jokes and making everyone feel special.
Joe is survived by his father,  Joseph (Wilma), step-son Kent Christopher of Fredonia, NY, sisters Sandy(Carter) Hall of Forestville, NY,  Janine (Dean) Salzman of Forestville, NY and Kimberly (Tim) Murphy of Williamsville, NY.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews both by blood and love and many, many friends.

A celebration of life will be held sometime this summer in Forestville, New York.  Details to follow.

Blanche “Vera” Murray, 95, Fort Pierce

March 02, 1926 – March 03, 2021

Blanche “Vera” Murray, 95, of Fort Pierce, passed away March 3, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Jersey City, NJ and had been a resident of Fort Pierce since 1985.  She had been a server at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, NJ for 25 years.

Vera loved her family, and enjoyed cooking, reading and entertaining family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Paul Murray Jr. of Fort Pierce; son-in-law, Robert E. Johnston of Fort Pierce; 2 granddaughters, Susan Paul of Clermont, FL and Catherine Engel of Fort Pierce; 6 great grandchildren, Autumn, Robert, Holly, Madisyn, Zachary and Joshua.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Murray Sr. and daughter, Patricia Johnston.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00PM,  Friday, March 5, 2021 at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.

A Graveside service will be 9:30AM, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
