Attorney Robyn Stone appointed as IRC judge

Gov. Ron DeSantis Friday appointed Assistant State Attorney Robyn Stone as an Indian River County judge, replacing outgoing  Judge David Morgan.

Stone, of Vero Beach, has been an assistant state attorney for the 19th Judicial Circuit since 2006, officials said. The newly-appointed judge received her bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Stone will replace Morgan, whose resignation takes effect Jan. 31, 2021, officials said. Stone is required to seek re-election to a full, six-year term in 2022.
