Mental Health Association CEO Dr. Nicholas Coppola has resigned, the non-profit agency announced Friday.
“We at the MHA were fortunate to have had him at the helm as the MHA redefined its brand and became a pillar of the Mental Health Community,” The Mental Health Association said in a statement. “We thank Dr. Coppola for his service to the organization and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
The organization’s Board Chair, Ross Cotherman, is leading a search committee to find the MHA’s next leader. For the time being, daily operations will be managed by Chief Operating Officer Angela Guzenski, Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Philip Cromer, Chief Brand Officer Sheana Firth and the Board of Director’s Executive Committee.
“We have the upmost faith that the MHA will continue its growth through this transition and feel confident in the team we have ushering in a new chapter in our story,” nonprofit representatives said.
The Mental Health Association offers immediate, affordable access to mental health care for residents.
