GIFFORD — A 75-year-old man was jailed after deputies said he inappropriately touched two girls at his residence on several occasions.
Ilera Faussette denied the allegations of molestation and sexual assault, reports show.
Faussette, of the 4700 block of Kennedy Court, was charged with two counts of capital sexual battery. Faussette was held Saturday at the Indian River County Jail without bond.
Indian River County deputies spoke with the mother of the girls Wednesday. The girls’ ages were not released.
The mother said Faussette exposed his genitals and touched one of the girls in a sexual manner, reports show. Both girls told deputies Faussette touched them inappropriately several times.
One of the girls said Faussette had sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions, reports show. Faussette threatened one of the girls, saying he would “use voodoo on her and she would die” if she told anyone what happened, deputies said.
A time range for when the incidents happened were not detailed in the arrest report. Deputies arrested Faussette and took him to the county jail.
