This year McKee Botanical Garden is changing things up, but the only thing we are spreading is holiday cheer. Join us for our Holi-DAYS at McKee beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1, through Wednesday, Dec. 23 during our regular business hours Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. The last admission ticket is sold at 4 pm.
In an abundance of caution and concern for our members, visitors, staff and volunteers, we have decided to spread our holiday events over several weeks and offer more hours. “We wanted to do the responsible thing and felt this was the best way for us to handle our holiday events for this particular year,” stated Christine Hobart, Executive Director.
Holi-DAYS at McKee will feature almost a month of fun, family-friendly daytime holiday festivities including weekly holiday-themed activities (storytime, crafts, and games), McKee Mascot Breakfasts and Lunches (additional fee applies and pre-registration required), intermittent snow flurries, live reindeer, classic holiday movies (It’s a Wonderful Life, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Elf, Polar Express, White Christmas, Frozen, Frosty the Snowman, Miracle on 34th Street, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Charlie Brown Christmas) for children and adults*.
There will also be local musical performances by Claudia Ball (vocalist), Vero Beach High School Band Ensemble, Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, First United Methodist Church Handbell Ensemble, 1924 Wurlitzer Band Organ, and Imagine School Tangerines Instrumental Group.
Meet and greet photo opportunities with Santa and friends and festive holiday treats from the Garden Café will also be available.
*During certain activities, masks may be required and social distancing guidelines will be adhered to. Limited seating is available.
