Ron could always be found with a smile on his face. His infectious laugh touched the hearts of anyone he encountered. He enjoyed playing golf, reading, joking with family and friends, and watching the gorgeous Florida sunsets. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching Notre Dame football and his Detroit teams. Throughout the years, he traveled all over the world. From Germany to Argentina to Brazil, his specialty was planning trips and embracing new cultures. He even walked the El Camino de Santiago in Spain, a lifelong dream of his. Although he wasn’t a handyman, he enjoyed spending time working on his daughter and son-in-law’s ranch in Okeechobee. His generous spirit also brought him to Illinois last year to work as the ‘manny’, watching his grandson, Jack Ronald. He was filled with joy when going on walks to the park, reading books, and spending quality time with his sweet grandbabies, Jack and Lia. He truly lived a wonderful life.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gail; two daughters, Sarah (Louie) Ruszkowski and Emily (Santiago) Espinoza Hernandez; two beloved grandchildren, Jack Ronald and Lia Sofie; mother, Iris; and four brothers, Rick, Ken, Gary (Diane), and Mike (Becky); and multiple nieces and nephews.
