INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — No additional quarantines were ordered after a Dodgertown Elementary School staff member tested positive for COVID-19, school officials said.
This is the 28th incident involving virus cases reported at traditional schools in Indian River County.
Officials learned of the latest positive case Monday at Dodgertown Elementary School, according to the School District of Indian River County. Florida Department of Health conducted contact tracing, but did not identify any individuals meeting close contact criteria with the staff member.
The staff member was instructed to stay home for two weeks and monitor for symptoms, school officials said. No additional quarantines were ordered.
All Dodgertown Elementary School families and staff members were notified of the incident. Custodial services continue to disinfect and sanitize all areas of the campus to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
