Fred Lorenz Addison, 88, Vero Beach

Fred Lorenz “Fritz” Addison, 88, of Vero Beach, passed peacefully in his home on Wednesday, Oct. 7,2020. Fritz was born in Clermont, Fla., on Aug. 7, 1932, to Harry and Catherine Addison.

He graduated from Clermont High School in 1950 and enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. He served as a Sergeant in the Korean War with the 7th Marine Regiment.

Upon discharge, he joined the family business Addison Oil, Standard Oil Agents.

He and his family relocated to Vero Beach in January 1974, transferring the business and serving Indian River, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties. He and his wife Libby sold the business to Como Oil in 2002.

Fritz is survived by his daughter, Laura Ann Addison; his son and daughter-in-law, Glen Lorentze and Wenie Addison; his two granddaughters, Lyndsey Elizabeth Ann Mussen and Lesley Kathryn Mussen; brothers- and sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.

Fritz was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Ferguson Addison; his parents, Harry and Catherine “Chase” Addison; sister- and brother-in-law, Helen and John Morrison, Virginia and Leroy Caughell, and Joe and Peggy Richards; two nephews, Milton Morrison and Roy Caughell.

Fritz was a 65 year member of the ELKS and Masonic Lodge in Clermont, Florida. He was a founding member of the Treasure Coast Gator Club and Vero Beach Quarterback Club. He was a lifetime member of Ducks Unlimited, serving as local fundraising chairman for years. He was a member of the 100 club. Gator boosters. Christ Church Vero Beach.

The family will be having a Celebration of Life at a later date, when Covid-19 has declined. A private interment will be at Crestlawn Cemetery.

 

M.D. Toole, III, 78, Vero Beach

M.D. Toole, III, 78, of Vero Beach, passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020 at VNA Hospice House. M.D. was born in Aiken County, S. Ca., April 6, 1942, to parents, M.D. and Mardrie Thompson Toole, Jr.

He was a graduate of Langley-Bath-Clearwater High School, Aiken County and Bolen’s Business University, Augusta, Ga.

M.D. was the Past Chairman of the Valley Public Service Authority, Aiken County.

He moved from his birthplace to Vero Beach 33 years ago.

M.D. had worked as Comptroller for Fulmer Brothers, Inc., Vero Beach, from 1987 – 2008.

He was a member of Vero Beach First Church of the Nazarene, where he served as a Board Member.

M.D. is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie; daughters, Deborah (Billy) Wallace and Tammy (Sean) Harvey, all of Vero Beach; brothers, Dr. Ronald E. (Linda) Toole, of Aiken and Donald L. (Susan) Toole of Clearwater, SC; sister, Cathy (Curtis) Jones of Graniteville, SC; grandson, Matthew D. Harvey of Vero Beach; granddaughter, Rachel Y. Harvey also of Vero Beach; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

William Lester Wilson Jr., 85, Sebastian

William Lester Wilson Jr., 85, of Sebastian, passed away peacefully at home Thursday Oct. 8, 2020. He was born in Daretown, N.J., to William Lester Wilson Sr. and Alfreda Jess.

He was a 1953 graduate of WHS, NJ and went on to get his associates degree in engineering.

He lived with his wife of 64 years, Marian Saul in Elsinboro, N.J., and was employed with SCMH, Salem, N.J., as Vice President of Plant Operations. Later he retired to Sebastian.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Marian; children, Rex (Roberta) Wilson, Deborah Wilson, William C. (Megan) Wilson, all of Sebastian; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Norman Wilson, of Daretown, N.Y.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Wilson.

Private burial will be in Sebastian City Cemetery at a later date.
