Indian River County added seven new COVID-19 cases Monday, according to the Florida Department of Health dashboard. This raises the total number of county cases to 2,990, while the death count remained at 106.

Health officials said 55 out of the 106 Indian River County deaths were at long-term care facilities.

There have been 279 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in Indian River County, health officials said. The county cases and number of hospitalizations are both cumulative.

There were six people still hospitalized from COVID-19 in the county as of Monday, health officials said.

For the Indian River County cases among residents, 1,521 were white, 373 were black, 336 were listed as “other” and 740 were listed as “unknown.”

There have been 33,201 total tests completed in Indian River County, with 2,990 testing positive and 30,193 testing negative, health officials said. The testing figures account for residents and non-residents.

Statewide, the number of cases increased to 665,730. The number of deaths in Florida increased to 12,798.
