Gifford Middle School is under a boil water notice, which was issued Friday afternoon, after student dismissal.
An underground plumbing line broke at Gifford Middle School and water was temporarily turned off for repair. The plumbing line is expected to be repaired by this evening.
The Department of Health (DOH) has been notified, and a DOH representative will be on site at Gifford Middle School on Tuesday 9/8 to initiate water testing.
Gifford Middle School will be under a boil water notice until water testing is completed, and results are approved by the DOH. Gifford Middle School students and staff members will have access to bottled water when they return to campus after Labor Day on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
