INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — An unidentified man was seriously hurt after suffering a gunshot wound late Thursday, fire rescue crews said.
The shooting happened about 9:38 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of 24th Street, Indian River County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Jamie Coleman said. The man was taken by ambulance to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce with serious injuries, Coleman said.
The man’s age was not immediately available. Further details on the shooting were not available.
The incident remains under investigation.
