Indian River County added 70 new positive coronavirus cases Friday, according to the Florida Department of Health. This raises the total number of county cases to 1,837, while the death count remained at 31.

Health department officials released the names of long-term care facilities with COVID-19 cases. Officials also released the names of the facilities with COVID-19 deaths.
Health officials said 17 out of the 31 deaths in Indian River County were at long-term care facilities.
Health officials said a total of 123 residents and three non-residents in the county had been hospitalized due to the virus. The number of county cases and hospitalizations are both cumulative and do not represent the current number of positive cases being traced or the current number of people in the hospital.
As of Friday, there were 24 people still hospitalized, with seven in the intensive care unit and six on ventilators, health officials said.
For the Indian River County cases, 751 are white, 161 are black, 316 are Hispanic, 175 were listed as “other” and the remaining cases were listed as “unknown” regarding race or ethnicity.
There have been 22,356 total tests completed in Indian River County, with 1,837 testing positive and 20,507 testing negative. There were no test results pending.
The daily positivity rate for Indian River County increased to 8.2 percent.
Statewide, the number of cases increased to 402,312. The number of deaths statewide, including Florida residents and non-residents, increased to 5,767.

Indian River County added 38 new positive coronavirus cases Thursday, along with three new deaths, according to the Florida Department of Health. This raises the total number of county cases to 1,767, while the death count increased to 31.
The three new Indian River County deaths are:
- A 95-year-old woman with no travel history and unknown contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted July 14.
- An 89-year-old woman with no travel history and no known contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted July 14.
- A 92-year-old man with no travel history, but who had known contact with an infected person. The man’s case was counted July 19.

Indian River County added 81 new positive coronavirus cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 1,585. There was one additional death, bringing that total to 25.
Statewide, there were 12,478 new cases, raising the cumulative case count to 350,047. There were another 286 deaths, which puts total deaths at 5,091.

Indian River County added 41 new positive coronavirus cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases to 1,504, according to the Florida Department of Health. There were no additional deaths.
