VERO BEACH — A popular beachside eatery known for its seafood entrees has temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for coronavirus.
In a Facebook post, The Ocean Grill, located in Sexton Plaza off Ocean Drive, said the grill will be closed until further notice. It was unclear when the eatery planned to reopen.
The restaurant said management learned the worker tested positive on Wednesday. The employee, who hasn’t worked since July 9, had not been feeling well, stayed home over the past week and got tested.
Ocean Grill said the worker did not show any virus symptoms while working at the eatery. All employees who came in contact with the infected worker were instructed to get tested immediately.
In the meantime, other workers will do a thorough cleaning and sterilization of the restaurant and kitchen.
“We appreciate your business over the years and understanding during these difficult times,” The Ocean Grill said in the post. “We will keep you informed to when we will be reopening.”
