INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Gov. Ron DeSantis again extended the pause on foreclosures and evictions to help Florida residents struggling financially during the coronavirus pandemic.

Tuesday, DeSantis signed an order allowing mortgage foreclosure and eviction relief for tenants and homeowners to continue through August 1. The limited extension aims to help residents who suffered pay cuts or job loss because of business closings caused by COVID-19.

The original order, issued April 2, was expected to expire May 17. The order was later extended to June 2, then July 1, and now to midnight Aug. 1.
