INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Two more deputies have tested positive for coronavirus, sheriff’s officials said in a Twitter post Wednesday evening.
This raises the number of Indian River County deputies who tested positive for COVID-19 to five. Sheriff’s officials said three other deputies previously tested positive.
Two more @IRCSheriff deputies test positive for COVID-19 bringing the total to 5. Neither of the two new exposures were part of the training exercise.

Anyone who tests positive is being instructed to self-quarantine at home for 14 days. It was unclear when the deputies received their positive results back.
Sheriff’s officials said the two additional deputies who tested positive were not involved in a recent training exercise at the sheriff’s office. Sheriff’s spokesman Maj. Eric Flowers was not immediately available for comment.
