CareerSource Research Coast (CSRC) today announced it is working with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) to ensure that all Floridians receive the benefits they’re entitled to. To facilitate this process, CSRC will assist DEO with the distribution of mail-in applications for reemployment assistance benefits throughout the local workforce development area.
St. Lucie, Martin and Indian River County residents who still need to file for reemployment assistance benefits may pick up printed applications from door-mounted brochure display boxes at any one of four CSRC career centers. Alternatively, residents may visit www.floridajobs.org/covid-19 to download and print a paper application, which is now available in three languages: English, Spanish and Creole.
Once complete, the Florida Reemployment Assistance application must be mailed to:
Florida Department of Economic Opportunity
P.O. Box 5350
Tallahassee, FL 32314-5350
All CSRC career centers will remain closed to the public until further notice, per guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Florida Department of Health. CSRC will, however, continue to leverage technology to serve the public within the local workforce development area in a remote capacity through virtual services.
To assist job seekers with the jobs search process during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, CSRC has also expanded its virtual services to include four virtual workshops: Job Search Strategies, Application and Resume Success, OptimalResume, and Interview Preparation.
For more information regarding virtual services, please follow CSRC’s social media platforms or visit www.careersourcerc.com/covid-19. CSRC will continue to provide updates to the public through these platforms as information becomes available.
Individuals or businesses with questions pertaining to reemployment assistance benefits are asked to call 1-800-204-2418 or visit www.floridajobs.org.
