INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — All county playgrounds will close Monday in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus, officials announced Saturday.
Playgrounds in Indian River County will close at 8 a.m. Monday until further notice, the emergency services department said in a Twitter post. This includes all county-operated playgrounds and those operated by Vero Beach, Sebastian and Fellsmere.
All County-operated playgrounds, and those operated by Vero Beach, Sebastian, and Fellsmere, will be closed effective 8am. Monday until further notice. All parks and conservation areas will remain open, as well as restroom facilities located at those parks and conservation areas.

But, officials noted that all parks and conservation areas in the county will remain open. Restroom facilities at those locations will also remain open, officials said.
Authorities previously closed state parks in Florida to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
