MHA offers a Social Distance Scavenger Hunt

The Mental Health Association in Indian River County has created a “Social Distancing Scavenger Hunt” for individuals and/or their kids looking to get outside. The MHA has created a checklist of some of the locations of the original TurtleTrax Turtles and shared it with the public.
The MHA’s Social Distance Scavenger Hunt encourages people to practice social distancing (staying at least 6 feet away from others in the vicinity) and discourages them from touching the turtles. However, they are encouraging all people to take a picture with the turtles and tag @MHAIndianRiver on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram when they find the turtles!

There is also a downloadable checklist where those doing the scavenger hunt can check off the turtles as they find them!
This is an activity people can do by themselves, with children, family members, or friends at a safe distance. If people are concerned about getting out of their car, they can drive up to the turtles and take a picture of it through their window.
The MHA understands that this is a trying time for everyone and are still open to the public for therapy, telehealth, and same day screenings.

As of press time, the Walk-In and Counseling Center remains open during their normal business hours Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mental health screenings are still available free of charge to Indian River County residents without an appointment.
